Importance of Sleep

Think of your body like a smartphone battery that needs eight hours to get a full charge. Sure you can get away with a five or six hour charge and get through the day, but your screen brightness is going to be low, and you’re not going to be streaming videos all day long. If you think of your body in a similar way, you should have no issue figuring out why eight hours of sleep is so important. The most crucial time for protein synthesis and muscle regeneration occurs during your sleep, so if you short-change your sleep then you’re short-changing your gains.
